  • Eqos 5.1 Enables Retailers to Reach New Sources of Supply
Eqos Connect enables off-line working and standardizes integration

    Leatherhead, UK - October 14, 2009
Eqos, a leading provider of web-based procurement and supply management solutions, today announced the availability of its latest product release, Eqos Enterprise 5.1. This version further enhances supplier collaboration by supporting new off-line business processes, providing standard integration connectors, and enabling mobile working via its new Eqos Connect capabilities. Eqos Connect Offline enables retailers to proactively reach out to and onboard suppliers and factories that are challenged with poor internet connections.

Eqos Connect further streamlines retail PLM, sourcing, quality and order processes for retailers' buying organizations by embedding emerging technologies and familiar tools into existing sourcing and collaboration processes. By layering over in-house and partner systems, Eqos Connect Offline provides the techniques, formats, and protocols required by retailers to work more closely with agents, vendors, and factories in remote areas or that have difficulty connecting with the internet. This new release enables buyers and suppliers to view, respond and negotiate RFQs off-line via Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and mobile devices.

Additionally, Eqos 5.1 introduces standard APIs (application programmer interfaces) that ease the integration with adjacent in-house systems such as ERP and supply chain; and with partner systems such as PLM and logistics. Other Eqos 5.1 capabilities include enhancements to Eqos role-based and configurable dashboards, more comprehensive standard report libraries, and enhanced product inspection support.

"This latest product release further extends Eqos capabilities out into the international supplier community," said Paul Sansom, head of development. "We continue to work collaboratively with our customers to develop solutions that enable them to continue to deliver quality private label and branded merchandise to their customers as they deliver profits to their shareholders."
